Death of Ratna Markova

What a melancholic period for me and many Cellar members!

I am very sad to mention the death of the person we knew as Ratna Markova.  She died after a period of 4 weeks in hospital this month.  She had suffered ill health from a TB infection gained years ago and I am guessing this was a contributory factor.

I have now lost two of my closest friends and former subs due to RL death.

Our condolences to her sub, moni and her partner Angela.

Death of Selena Petrovic 28th August 2013

Some of you are aware that the person we knew as Selena Petrovic suddenly disappeared from SL at the end of August.  I have now been reliably informed that she died suddenly on the 28th August, and was buried back in Northern Ireland in early September. Although I feared the worst this is a big shock to me.  Although occasionally infuriating and overbearing, she helped many people in SL and was loved by many.

The cellar is now being run by Moni and Shaia at a new location.  Please give them your support in this.

The old "The Cellar Friends" group is now officially closed. Thanks to the extremely hard work of the Cellar kitten, moni, everyone has been migrated over to the main group.  If you were ejected from the friends group and missed the invite to join the new friends role in the main group, contact Moni Grant [Monique Basevi] or myself and we'll get an invite out to you right away.

 Hi there,

Those of you in the Cellar Friends group are going to see changes.  If you are in the main Cellar Group already you will just be removed from the Friends group.  If you are not in the main Cellar group already, when we remove you from the Friends group, you will receive an invite to the new "Friends" role of the main group.  It will be far easier moving forward to maintain a single group.  We value your participation at the Cellar and hope you consider accepting the invitation.

Happy New Year!

I wish you all a very prosperous new year!  The change over for the Cellar location has occurred.   I am so glad to know that San and Sel remain a part of our community!  Please come by and spend some time with friends, old and new.  The rules for the Cellar have changed ever so slightly , you can get a copy of the amended rules in the club house.  We are still planning a grand reopening party soon.  Stay tuned!

Change in The Cellar security roles

While I know the Judge and cop roles have been popular over the years, I am doing away with those titles.  Those roles have become large and difficult to manage.  Part of the security for the new Cellar location is a single group role with the title of "staff".  Please feel free to comment to me directly.  Stay tuned for more announcements!

Due to an unexpected and sudden termination of the Caudron Sim, the Cellar is temporarily out of existence. However, as soon as we find a new suitable location we will be back. Shackles, the Cellar and the sim (Caudron)

Nora can no longer run Shackles and has closed it. She is looking for people to rent/buy the rest of the sim (i.e. the other 2/3 of the sim - Caudron). If you know of anyone who would want to buy/rent this, please contact Nora Caudron.

the Cellar will NOT close, but if Nora can not find someone to buy/rent the rest of the sim we may have to move. Suggestions for appropriate 3500 prim spaces to me please (just in case).

Cellar etiquette

May I wish all cellar members and friends a very happy new year!

A quick reminder about Cellar etiquette:

1. Politeness and respect should be universal with the sole exception of those who have consented to be treated otherwise.
2. Consent needs to be explicit - e.g. wearing a cellar "slave" tag or given verbally. It can not be assumed simply due to appearence.
3. Newbies and newcomers should be welcomed, helped and treated with tolerance and respect -- even if they declare themselves to be slaves, sluts etc. and even if they are annoying.
4. All are free to choose their role, and to change as often as they like. Only those with Cellar tags of "submissive", "slave" etc. are bound by the rules for submissives (e.g. not sitting on sofas).

Shania Teardrop has died

Shania Teardrop, many of you know was a Mistress who often came to the Cellar and shared her wisdom and kindness with those she met. Always with a smiles, she reminded us to be happy and enjoy our life.

Sadly I need to inform you that last month Shania lost her battle with lung cancer. She was fortunate to not have suffered long and had her good freind was by her side when she passed.

I know many of you cared greatly for her and as her sub she often told me how she cared for those she met at the Cellar.
